SOFTWARE LICENCE 1. Scope and acceptance This licence describes the general terms for using software distributed by Software Wala through softwaylive.com and its official product links, including School Wala and Dukandar Stock Management. Read the product-specific terms shown before installation, registration or purchase. If an expressly agreed product-specific licence addresses the same subject differently, that agreement governs the relevant product or service, subject to applicable law. Do not use the software if you do not accept the applicable terms. 2. Free downloads, accounts and core use Software downloads and account creation are free. You may use the free functionality without purchasing optional services. Subject to these terms and any applicable product terms, Software Wala grants you a non-exclusive right to install and use an official copy for your own lawful personal or organisational operations. A school or business user must be authorised to act for that organisation. This permission is a licence to use the software, not a transfer of ownership or an open-source licence. 3. Optional paid services Only selected additional services are charged for. Examples include School Wala SMS packages and Dukandar backup subscriptions. Without purchasing the relevant package or plan, the paid functionality is unavailable, while the free app/software functionality remains usable. Before purchasing, review the disclosed price, included credits or storage, validity period, billing and renewal arrangements, and service-specific conditions. Do not assume that a plan renews automatically, provides unlimited capacity, or remains valid indefinitely. Buying one optional service does not purchase ownership of the software or entitlement to every other paid feature. 4. SMS packages Use SMS services only for messages you are authorised to send and in accordance with applicable messaging rules and recipient permissions. Package-specific credit usage, validity and delivery conditions apply as disclosed for that package. Delivery can depend on recipient details, network availability and messaging-provider restrictions. Report an incorrect credit debit, missing purchase or delivery problem with the product and transaction references so it can be investigated. This general licence does not invent a fixed credit expiry period or waive any mandatory remedy. 5. Backup subscriptions A paid backup subscription provides only the backup functions and capacity included in the selected plan. Review the plan's retention, restoration, expiry and cancellation conditions before relying on it. Maintain an independent copy of important records and check that backups complete successfully. No unlimited storage or indefinite retention is promised by this general licence. Not buying or renewing backup does not itself remove the right to use free app features, subject to the applicable terms. 6. Permitted use and restrictions Use official copies and comply with the product documentation. Do not sell, sublicense or redistribute the software as your own product without permission; remove ownership notices; bypass paid-feature controls; obtain unauthorised access; interfere with service security; or use the software to distribute unlawful or malicious material. Do not copy or modify protected software beyond the applicable licence or rights permitted by law. These restrictions do not remove statutory rights relating to lawful use, backup, interoperability or other acts that cannot legally be restricted. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own applicable licences. 7. Your data and responsibilities You retain your rights in the records you lawfully enter. This licence does not transfer ownership of your student, customer, stock or business data to Software Wala. Ensure you have the authority and lawful basis to collect, upload and use information, including information about children or other individuals. Protect credentials, control staff access, keep suitable backups and verify important outputs. Product-specific privacy notices describe handling of product accounts, SMS data and any stored backups. Do not send unnecessary sensitive records in general support enquiries. 8. Updates, availability and support Review release notes and compatibility requirements before installing updates. Features and supported platforms may differ between versions. A product listing or free download does not guarantee availability of a Windows installer, future features, uninterrupted connectivity or unlimited support. Use the support channels shown for the product. Express service commitments in an agreed paid plan remain subject to that agreement and applicable law. 9. Cancellation, refunds and account deletion Purchase cancellation, refund requests and termination of future renewal are governed by the relevant service terms, the Return & Refund Policy and applicable law. Uninstalling an app or deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by an app store or payment provider. Use the relevant cancellation process as well. For deletion requests, use the Account Deletion URL shown for the product. Account deletion, deletion of backups and deletion of records controlled by a school or business may involve different processes. Relevant privacy notices explain any lawful retention requirements. This licence does not create a blanket no-refund rule or remove remedies for defective, deficient, misdescribed or undelivered services. 10. Ending use and addressing misuse You may stop using and uninstall the software. If a material breach or security threat requires restricting access, action should be proportionate to the issue and applicable agreement. Where practicable, an opportunity to resolve a remediable issue will be provided; urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action. Ending a paid feature does not automatically terminate unrelated free functionality. Applicable payment, privacy and legal obligations can continue after use ends. 11. Responsibility and applicable law Check that the software suits your workflow and verify outputs before important business or educational decisions. Software is a tool and does not replace professional legal, accounting, tax or regulatory advice. Nothing in this licence excludes an express contractual commitment, liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Indian law applies, subject to mandatory rights and access to competent courts, consumer forums and other authorities. Contact us with the facts of a concern so we can try to resolve it. 12. Changes and contact The updated date on this page identifies the latest revision. Changes to this general licence do not automatically remove rights already agreed for a paid service. Product-specific notices or consent may be required for material changes.
